Thank you for expressing a willingness to hear more about and hopefully be part of Lacombe Outreach School Council. The following are the main activities of a school council:
Representing and informing parents.
Advising the principal and the board on matters relating to the school.
Participating in the development of school education plans, annual education results reports and budget.
Facilitating communication and supporting parent engagement within the school and school authority.
Typically a school council meets approximately once every 2 months for an hour to an hour and a half.
We will be having our first school council meeting on Tuesday, October 25th at 6:30 PM.
